Royal Caribbean announced is canceling all stops to Turkey for the 2018 season in Europe, reports the Royal Caribbean Blog. According to this popular website, the company made the decision, "due to the current unpredictability of Turkey, and taking our guests’ and crew members’ safety and wellbeing into account." Royal Caribbean has decided to call off the only port-of-call in Turkey, Ephesus (Kusadasi) and replace it with the neighboring Greek ports.
Royal Caribbean cruise ship Jewel of the Seas, was scheduled to make eight calls in Ephesus (Kusadasi) from June to October 2018. Instead, the vessel will now call on Rhodes, Greece.
Vision of the Seas with seven scheduled calls to Ephesus (Kusadasi) from May to October, will also divert its course to Rhodes or Mykonos, Greece.
Azamara Club Cruises, which is one of the Royal Caribbean International brands, has two calls in Ephesus in 2018i, however, until now they are still on schedule. Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and other cruise lines have canceled all stops in Turkey in 2017 due to safety reasons.
