700 crew sent home as Color Line pause operations in Norway

Submitted by kgnadmin on

As a result of putting Color Line's ferry route between Oslo and Kiel on a temporary hold, a large number of employees of the company were released, around 700 of them. Certainly, the biggest reason for these consequences is the emerging of the new Omicron variant and the new restrictions in Norway due to its fast spreading.

Actually, the two ferries forced to be taken out of service are Color Fantasy and Color Magic. Last year was a similar situation when many of the company's routes had to be put on hold.

Both corona positive cases and infections with the new Omicron variant have risen constantly in the previous weeks in Norway, so this northern European country tightened the measures and adopted new corona requirements.
