Search called off for passenger who jumped from Carnival Mardi Gras

After a 58-hour search covering over 2,078 square miles, the Coast Guard has made a difficult decision to suspend its search for a 43-year-old man who went overboard from the cruise ship Mardi Gras. Two Coast Guard cutters and an aircraft were searching for the man. The man was identified by the Coast Guard as Tang Tran. The report states that the man jumped overboard the Carnival cruise ship on Saturday, 55 miles off the Florida coast. 

Search called off for crew member who went overboard near Cyprus

On Thursday afternoon, the Coast Guard suspended its search for a missing crew member who went overboard a cruise ship off the coast of Cyprus. Larnaca-based search and rescue coordination centre said that the search operations to locate the crew member reported missing since Tuesday, has been called off without locating the missing person.

Crew Member Goes Overboard from Jewel of the Seas

A young crew member went overboard from the cruise ship Jewel of the Seas on April 30, while the vessel was off the coast of Greece. According to the Greek media, a search was underway by the ship and the Coast Guard in an attempt to locate the missing crew member. A lifeboat and two Coast Guard vessels were involved in the search, and a Coast Guard aircraft was deployed in the area. Unfortunately the crew member was not located.

Crew Member Overboard From Carnival Victory

A search is underway after a crew member was reported overboard from the cruise ship Carnival Victory. The Man Overboard was reported three hours ago while the cruise ship was sailing back to Miami, some 25 nautical miles northwest of Cuba.

The authorities and the US Coast Guard were immediately notified and a search and rescue operation is currently underway.
