After 20 successful years in service for Aida Cruises, AIDAvita is leaving the fleet. AIDAcara had to leave the fleet last year, and now it's AIDAvita turn.
From the departure of the AIDAcara until today, the AIDAvita was the oldest ship in the fleet built in 2002. However, as the oldest ship, AIDAvita has not completed a single cruise since the start of the pandemic. Again and again, a restart was planned but then has to be canceled. AIDA Cruises fleet is now reduced to twelve cruise ships,
“After 20 successful years, AIDAvita will no longer be used by the company. Guests who have already booked a trip with AIDAvit will be contacted and informed about their new travel options or re-booking options. AIDAbella will take over the "Big Winter Break" routes from AIDAvita. The journey takes 43 or 44 days from Hamburg to the Caribbean and back. In 21 or 26 days he goes to the Canary Islands and back to Hamburg. The three "Autumn Northern Lights" cruises from/to Hamburg will also be taken over by AIDAbella. Of course, AIDAvita guests can opt for another cruise from the diverse AIDA program until the winter of 2023/24.”
