Australia New Home of Carnival Spirit

Carnival Spirit will arrive in Sydney Australia on 17 October 2012 and its scheduled destinations include New Zealand and Pacific Islands throughout the year.

The Carnival Spirit will reach Australian shores in October and It will be the first time that Carnival ventures into waters of Australia, with Sydney Harbor as a home port.

The decision to bring the Carnival Spirit to Australia was happily received by the Director of Deck Chair Cruising, Scott Walton, who is excited about the possibilities of a new ship cruising in Australia.

"Carnival pioneered the value in the cruise market, and this is the kind of spirit we are looking at the cruise lines we represent," he said.

"In recent years, the cruise segment in Australia has continued to grow and become one of the largest industries in the Australian tourism industry."

With capacity for 2667 passengers and 930 crew, the Carnival Spirit is primarily aiming for travelers from Australia and New Zealand.

SpiritĀ  will adapt to the Australian market with greater range of Australian beers plus new onboard entertainment and children's activities to suit this cruises.

"The world famous WaterWorks waterslide park, adults-only area and a high number of cabins with private balconies attract families, singles and couples alike," said Walton.

"The Carnival Spirit is highly regarded for offering the opportunity to do, see and taste everything. Fun, glamour, style and entertainment, all in one."
