The Body of Missing Israeli Cruise Passenger Found in Sinai

The body of a man found on Friday off Sinai beach, might belong to the missing Israeli, who went on a cruise three weeks ago.

According to Israel police, the body fits a missing persons description identified as the 43 years old Samuel Zohar. The vicitim was a taxi driver from Hadera who took a cruise to Cyprus. After ships crew found out that he was not onboard with his belongings remaining in the stateroom they notified Haifa Police. Witnesses say that Samuel Zohar was seen in the ship's bar and pool area a day before the ship docked at Haifa Port.

Egyptian media reports that they believe the man was shot and fell overboard from a cruise ship in the Mediterranean sea.
Israeli Police officials said they believe that the man had fallen off the ship and drowned and his body had washed to the Sinai beach.

Zohar’s family delivered DNA samples and the body was transferred to Israel where forensic tests will be conducted and released on Sunday.
