The scenario was a terrorist attack on a cruise ship docked in the port, in which two terrorists have placed explosive device inside the vessel. The Port Authority was notified that there is a bomb on the cruise ship, and immediately mobilized all the relevant departments.

After Bomb Squad boarded the ship and started searching, they found explosive device that proved to be fake. Later in another part of the ship real bomb exploded causing fire from which a passenger was injured. Special Forces identified two terrorists and captured one, while the other terrorist in attempt to escape jumped into the sea. Firefighting teams carried out operation to extinguish the fire caused by the explosion, while Coast Guard vessel retrieved the terrorist from the sea. Then rescuers carried the injured from the explosion at the hospital. Final stage of the exercise was the clean-up operation at sea.

The ship on which this exercise was conducted was Costa Mediteranea, while Costa Deliziosa was docked next to her. In the exercise participated OLKE, Corfu Port Authority, Special Forces, the Fire Department and the EMS. Note that the cruise ship COSTA MEDITERRANEA performed regular voyage with passengers onboard while this simulation was carried out.
