Carnival Fascination failed to pass a USPH Inspection

One more setback for Carnival cruise line, after one of its ships, the "Fascination", failed to pass a USPH health inspection.

 

Officials of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) of the United States said they found roaches, dry food residudos and flies.

 

The Center conducts spot checks to cruise vessels twice a year and ships are rated on a scale of 100 points, considering 86 as the minimum passing. The "Fascination" scored 84.

 

CDC reported that among failures was found that there was not enough chlorine in the water pit of the ship, the salad bar had missing covers.

 

The failed inspection "Fascination" was recorded 11 days after a fire in the engine room of the cruise "Triumph" and the ship "Elation" failures recorded in the steering system and the cruise ship "Dream" was stranded in St. Maarten.

 

While the cruise ship "Legend" also experienced failures in the last stage of a tour of seven-day Caribbean with technical problems affecting the ships speed.

 

"In the last five years, all Carnival ship passed the health inspection and fleet average score in that time was 97 points.
