He will be engaged on this position from September 3 and will report to Norbert Stiekema, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

As reported by Costa Cruises in his new role, Frederik Penot will coordinate all marketing activities related to development and brand positioning, communication and research and product development. Penot, 44, began his international career after graduating at European School of Management (EAP).

He began working on a strategy consulting firm Roland Berger, before moving to Disneyland Paris, where he held a number of senior positions in sales and marketing, including the post of leader of the German and Austrian markets with operational headquarters in Munich. This period culminated with his appointment as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the French market in order to implement the sales and marketing strategies in key geographical areas of the company.

    "I am sure that Frederik, with his ability to provide customer support and level of competence and international experience in major markets will further strengthen our senior management and ensure our competitiveness in a market immersed in big changes," Norbert Stiekema said.
