A crew member of the Cruise ship "Club Med 2" is missing since last Thursday ( 13 ) , after the vessel docked in Salvador . Alessandro Lawrence , 35, worked in the ships laundry room and it was his first contract.

According to the Club Med 2 spokesperson, the crewmember was on a day off when he left alone, around 5 p.m for sightseeing of Salvador . He said it would go to the Mercado Modelo and the Pillory , but did not return to the ship .

Alessandro colleagues try to reach him on his cell phone, but the phone was off. Concerned , they informed the ships officers of  the crew member disappearance . In a statement , the Club Med 2 reported that it is taking all necessary steps to help find the employee.

The company also reported that the team searched for Alessandro in the vicinity of the Port of Salvador and in various hospitals of the city , in addition to contacting the local police . Alessandro 's family has been notified about his disappearance.
