Croatian Company Started Building World's Largest Sailing Ship

Croatian Shipbuilding Company Brodosplit held a ceremony for the construction of the world's largest 5-masted sailing ship ordered by the cruise company Star Clippers based in Monaco. The state of the art technology will be incorporated in this five mast ship with length of 162.2 meters scheduled to sail in the summer 2017. The ship will have capacity of 312 cruise passengers, 150 crew members, 150 luxurious cabins and 74 cabins for service crew. The Cabins will be equipped with all the comforts, modern navigation systems, three swimming pools, an area for massages and fitness, four bars, a library on five decks. The five masts will hoist 6,350 meters of sails with thrust reaching top speed of 20 knots.

Aldo the Itinerary was not released, Star Clippers representatives said that Worlds Largest sailing ship will cruise the Mediterranean during the summer and the Caribbean during the winter season. 

The name has not yet been released however it is certain that the ship will be a spectacular gem on the seven seas. The luxury passenger sailing ship will be the fourth ship in Star Clippers fleet.
