Cruise Ship rescues 37 Syrian immigrants

The cruise ship Costa Pacifica sailing from Athens to Civitavecchia, rescued a boat with imigrants in distress sailing 60 miles south east of the Calabrian coast.. SOS signal was picked up by the operations headquarters of the Harbor, and passed on to the nearest  ships in the area,  Costa "Pacifica which  responded to the distress signal and approached the boat taking aboard 37 immigrants, The others people were saved by a Coast Guard patrol boat.

A group of 155 immigrants, mostly Syrians, were rescued about 250 miles from Cape Teulada in Reggio Calabria, among them 42 men, 34 women, two of which are pregnant and 24 minors.

Also a helicopter arrived in the area of the Guardia di Finanza Naval Air Group of Messina. Subsequently, the M / V CP 289 reached the cruise ship the next working transhipment of migrants on board the Coast Guard.
