Disney's latest cruise ship is expected to arrive in Port Canaveral in just a few weeks, and details of many events celebrating its arrival have just been released.
Details about the christening ceremony and the first voyage of the newest vessel have just been released, as well as details about her arrival at her home port in Sunshine State.
Celebrated events as part of the new cruise ship will take place over several days - and all will take place before Disney High embarks on its first passenger voyage.
According to the Port Canaveral, Disney Wish will enjoy multiple celebrations as it will officially join the Disney Cruise Line fleet - the first in a fleet in Disney's Titan class.
Disney Wish, the first cruise ship to be added to the Disney Cruise Line fleet since Disney Fantasy joined the fleet in 2012, is scheduled to arrive in Port Canaveral on Monday, June 20th. The arrival of the ship, together with the official welcome, will include an early morning event, scheduled for between 4:00 and 7:00.
The event will be held at two locations in Port Canaveral - Terminal 8 and Terminal 10, and both are located at the northern end of the Port Canaveral canal next to the western turn.
Media staff will probably be located at these terminals as well, hoping for a perfect shot of the ship's first entry into port.
Disney Cruise Line ships usually dock at Terminal 8, but occasionally Disney also uses Terminal 10, which will probably be used more often when Disney Wish joins the fleet.
Disney has planned a suitable welcome for the first new ship of this cruise line in the last 10 years, together with fireboats, tugs, a water salute, and "special effects", for which no details have been given.
Although it arrives in Port Canaveral on June 20, Disney Wish will not welcome any passengers on board for more than 3 weeks.
