Last week a 40-year old German citizen who was working for five years on cruise ships as a doctor without license was arrested at the Berlin airport. As stated in the German press the man had studied for nurse, but presented fake documents as a doctor with experience in anesthesiology and intensive medicine care.

All these years, the phony doctor, whose identity has not been revealed, have treated hundreds of patients on board and made diagnosis to his patients. The German newspaper Berliner Morgenpost reveals that the representative of the cruise company AIDA, said that in late November, the company received a notice for imposter doctor and informed the police. The phony doctor was arrested on December 4 2014 at the Berlin airport, after his return from Miami.

The company spokesman said the crook doctor received a salary of 7,500 euros a month! He said, AIDA is working closely with the police to provide assistance in the investigation.

"Obviously we are not the only ones who have been cheated in the interest of our customers quickly evaluating the information we have and we will provide every support to the investigating authorities." Said the cruise line representative.

The phony doctor was working for AIDA Cruises since 2014 and it is believed that he was working for other cruise lines before.
