Filipino crew member shot dead in Roatan

A 28 year old Filipino crew member Jaycob Caban , who was part of the crew of the Norwegian Cruise Line Pearl was killed Sunday afternoon in Roatan, Honduras. Jaycob was walking down a street in Coxen Hole when he was attacked by a man who robbed him of a cell phone and then shot him dead.

After three days of intensive search Police authorities confirmed the capture of the killer.  The suspect identified by police as Lomder Lone Guzman Ramirez (21), alias Barabbas was captured Wednesday in the evening hours in an area of the island. Since last Sunday, civilian, police and military authorities joined in the search for the murderer of the foreigner who was part of the crew of the Norwegian Cruise Line Pear.

Officers arrived to deliver up to 175,000 person that made tracks for the capture of the author of the criminal act that caused shock and condemnation among the islanders. Last night Ebanks Dorn, Mayor of Roatan, said the capture of the alleged murderer is considered a win against crime.

"This brought serious repercussions because here live on tourism, but tourists guarantee that this will not be repeated," said chief building complex.
