First Rock Festival on Ship Named Provinssirock in Finland

One of the most famous rock festival in Finland Provinssi or ProvinssiRock will be held for the first time in its history on board a ferry. The sea rock concert will set sail on 27 December on the ship Viking Grace, which is owned by the Finnish company VIKING LINE. The ship will sail to Stockholm from Turku and come back. The festival will feature rock groups such as Ensemble, Sanni, Tilsu, Paperi T, Olavi Uusivirta and other performers.

The festival is held every year in the summer in the city of Seinäjoki. This year's event was attended by almost 80 thousand people in the open air - is 18 thousand more than the total population of the city.

Viking Grace is able to simultaneously accommodate 2800 passengers on twelve decks. It was built specifically for the route Turku - Mariehamn - Stockholm and put into operation two years ago. This is the first ferry in the Baltic Sea, which is using liquefied natural gas for fuel.
