Guest Onboard NCL Star Caught Steeling Copy of Rembrandt Painting

The Royal Gazette reports that a 43 year old US passenger, Kevin Hudgeons was caught steeling painting onboard Norwegian Star. The painting which is the size of a door was a Rembrandt copy worth $13,000. Hudgeons was caught on Friday, when he wanted to exit the ship in Bermuda and was stopped by NCL security at the gangway. When confronted by security, Hudgeons said he was "going to mail it home."
Norwegian Star security cameras recorded the event when Hudgeons took out the painting from the wall and brought it in his cabin.

Defence attorney in Hamilton Oonagh Vaucrosson told the judge that Hudgens was on medication and that he thought he had won the painting in a raffle. Hudgeons was fined $500 for the theftby Bermuda court.
Usually when someone steals something from a store or supermarket he/she pays 10 times the price of the stolen item, however in Bermuda is opposite.
