Lee Mason and Calvin Martens to Lead Carnival Celebration Entertainment Team

Carnival Cruise Line has announced the two professionals that will be lead the fun activities on its upcoming Carnival Celebration set to be launched this fall.

Lee Mason has been appointed Cruise Director, and Calvin Martens has been appointed Entertainment Director. 

Both Mason and Martens are popular with carnival guests and bring a combined quarter of a century of carnival fun and experience to lead the team responsible for the atmosphere, activities and entertainment on board.

“Not only will Carnival Celebration arrive as a ship marking our 50th birthday, but it will build on the top-notch entertainment offer our guests have already fallen in love with since Mardi Gras’ debut. Lee and Calvin are the perfect team to take on this responsibility and help our guests leave great memories with a lot of fun, "said Chris Nelson, vice president of Carnival for fun.

Lee Mason, from Cumbria, England, currently works as a cruise director on the sister ship Mardi Gras Carnival Celebration and has been the director of cruises on several carnival ships for the past six years.

He trained at the American Academy of Music and Drama in New York, and his talent for the play is accompanied by his energy and desire for life. To date, his proudest accomplishment has helped set Carnival Splendor a record in fundraising for St. Judas of $ 40,000.

Calvin Martens, from Vancouver, Canada, has been entertaining carnival guests for almost 20 years. He joined the company as part of the team on the carnival holiday.

Calvin's time with Carnival had many notable events, including being selected as part of the inaugural team for Carnival Magic and Breeze, who led the carnival legend for his inaugural Baltic season, became known to guests as co-host of The Morning Show and served as executive assistant. John Heald, Carnival brand ambassador.

The Carnival Celebration is part of the new Carnival Excel class and sister ship for Mardi Gras, which entered service last year as the first ship in North America to use a liquefied natural gas propulsion system.

The vessel will arrive at its home, Port Miami, in November and debut together with the redesigned Terminal F in the port.
