Life of Pi

Life of Pi tells the story of an Indian boy, son of the owner of a zoo that survives a ship disaster.

The upcoming movie, based on Yann Martel's bestselling novel "Life of Pi” by Oscar winning directed Ang Lee is set to release in theaters Nov. 21, 2012.

When Pi is sixteen, his family emigrates from India to North America aboard a Japanese cargo ship, along with their zoo animals bound for new homes."

The ship sinks. Pi finds himself alone in a lifeboat, his only companions a hyena, an orangutan, a wounded zebra, and Richard Parker, a 450-pound Bengal tiger. Soon the tiger has dispatched all but Pi, whose fear, knowledge, and cunning allow him to coexist with Richard Parker for 227 days while lost at sea.

The Life of Pi will be released in 3D and promises to be spectacular movie. The young Pi is played by Suraj Sharma and Tobey Maguire also appears in the film.
