Man Goes Overboard From The Cruise Oasis of the Seas

A man went overboard from Oasis of the Seas, while the ship was docked in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The incident happen on Wednesday evening when an unidentified male passenger fell from the Deck 10 while the cruise ship was docked at Pier 3 in Old San Juan.

Shortly after the Man Overboard alarm the captain and his crew gathered passengers at muster stations to conduct guests count and identify the missing person.

The Coast Guard joined the search with boats and divers in an attempt to locate the missing passenger. Several hours later the divers recovered the body of a white male says a passenger in a post on Twitter. According to reports the man who went overboard was Atlantis Events contractor.

Oasis of the Seas is hosting a 7-Night Atlantis Caribbean charter cruise that caters to the LGBT community.

Aaron Mendoza, a passenger on the Oasis of the Seas cruise, shot footage of the Coast Guard searching for the man and the balcony from which he allegedly went overboard.

"They are looking for the person that went overboard. This is so sad. I hope they find him bit time is not on his side" he added to the post.

ABC reporter Mark Reddie, who is onboard the Oasis of the Seas, posted several tweets about the accident.

"The Captain of Atlantis Cruise is calling out the names of guests now from Decks 8 to 10 as search crews work to find a missing passenger off San Juan in Puerto Rico" he said.
