Miami New Home Port for Carnival Breeze

This Wednesday Carnival Breeze set sail from its new home port Miami, to the Caribbean. Port of Miami deputy director Juan M.Kuryla said: "Carnival Breeze will be the largest Carnival ship, for which we have made some improvements to the Port. We have expanded the terminal approximately 19,000 square meters, build new bridges to connect the terminal to the cruise ships and added more facilities as checkpoints for the passengers “.

In the absence of these adjustments, "the terminal would perhaps not cope to dock Carnival Breeze at the port of Miami."

The 130,000 tons Carnival Breeze arrived from the Mediterranean, where it has been sailing since the summer. It is the largest Carnival ship ever homeported in South Florida.

The ship has a popular water park, a recreation complex with a small golf course, swimming pools and other facilities.

The Port of Miami, known as “cruising capital of the world " is undergoing extensive preparations to accommodate new ships sailing in 2013.
Regent Navigator will sail in Miami on November, on 29 November Oceania Rivera', and on December 1st the 'Celebrity' Reflection.

Next year Miami will be home port of Regent Mariner in November the MSC Divina and in the spring 2014 the NCL Getaway.
