MSC will Create Exclusive island in the Bahamas Named Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve

MSC Cruises have officially launched the project named Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. Bahamas Prime Minister Perry Christie and the Executive Chairman of MSC Cruises Pierfrancesco Vago signed a lease of 100 years that will enable MSC Cruises to occupy and develop the island Ocean Cay.

In the next two years, MSC Cruises will work side by side with the Bahamian government and environmentalists to develop the project, a thriving marine reserve that can harmoniously co-exist with the local ecosystem.

Total cost of this project will be $ 200 million for 100year lease and creation of a natural harbor, thriving, from a desert island: it has confirmed the same company.

All installations and experiences on the island, which is 20 miles (32 km) south of Bimini and only 65 miles (104.5 kilometers) east of Miami, Florida, will be fully in tune with the culture and traditions of the Bahamas.

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve will offer:

all possible water sports and beach games

a beach dedicated to families with restaurants, play areas for children and other useful services

an inland lagoon where you can enjoy absolute tranquility

a zip wire that runs through the island

A marquee for weddings and celebrations

MSC Cruises plans to begin its work by March 2016 and open the MSC Ocean Cay Marine Reserve  in December 2017.
