Submitted by kgnadmin on

MSC World America, the latest cruise ship built by the French shipyard Chantiers de l'Atlantique is set to embark on its final sea trial this Thursday, February 13, before officially joining the MSC Cruises fleet. The vessel is expected to leave the Loire estuary for what is anticipated to be its last round of testing before delivery.

Once trials are successfully completed MSC World America will be delivered to MSC Cruises at the end of March. Captain Dino Sagani, who will command the ship upon delivery, has been overseeing preparations alongside Olivier Macoin, the shipyard’s lead trial captain responsible for test voyages.

Following its handover, MSC World America will set sail for PortMiami, where it will be officially welcomed during a Christening Ceremony at the new MSC Cruise Terminal.
