New Security System in St. Petersburg Port

The port of St. Petersburg will be implementing a new transport security system. In July the final testings of the same were finalized and approved. This pull for the implementation of the new transport security was due to the new security regulations which were introduced in January this year. And while these security regulations should be implemented by all ports around the world, the St. Petersburg would for now be the only port for now which would be compliant to the same regulations. One of the major features which the new security system will have is the car recognition.

By the end of July over 110,000 passengers had visited St. Petersburg. This port also had over 150 calls, or ship docking, in the same period of time. The constant influx and dynamics of this port may be understandable why this port is trying to implement these newly presented security system. With the new system the very first callings will be done with the Grand Princess and Clipper Odyssey.
