Back in 2004 when this ship joined the P&O cruises, Carnival had only two ships sailing in Australia. Seven years later Carnival strengthened their presence on the continent with total of seven ships.
CEO of Carnival Australia, Ann Sherry , said Pacific Sun had been an enormously popular ship.

“Pacific Sun has carried hundreds of thousands of Australians on great holidays and helped build demand for cruising.”

Pacific Sun made 332 voyages under P&O Cruises flag and carried more than half a million guests.
Originally the ship was build for Carnival cruise lines back in 1986 in Sweden and was first named Carnival Jubilee.

Ships final voyage is a seven night cruise to Pacific Islands.
