Pullmantur Cruises has announced the appointment of Javier Somoza Ramis as new secretary general, assuming the duties of secretary of the board and chief legal officer of the group.
In his new role, Somoza will be responsible for the management of the Group's legal department Pullmantur, in order to coordinate, manage, organize and implement the criteria to effectively address legal matters in which the institution is located.
With a career spanning more than 10 years leading various legal areas of leading companies, Somoza joins Pullmantur Quabit Group, where he held the post of general secretary.
His career has been linked to the tourism sector, having held the position of secretary of counsel and chief legal officer of Vueling Airlines and Iberia Cards, Iberia's subsidiary dedicated to issuing credit cards.
Previously worked at Iberia Airlines as a lawyer specializing in corporate and commercial areas and in the New York Transatlantic Lines. Somoza's degree in Law from the University CEU San Pablo and PDD from IESE.
