Royal Caribbean Reduces Bermuda Cruises

"Even though Bermuda remains a great destination for our clients we have also received comments that they want more choice of destinations from Baltimore. "

Last week, Royal Caribbean announced that it would reduce the number of stops in Bermuda. Royal Caribbean spokesperson addressed the issue with the following comments: "Even though Bermuda remains a great destination for our clients we have also received comments that they want more choice of destinations from Baltimore. "

"As a result of the announcement, in 2013 Grandeur of the Seas will alternate scales between Bermuda and the Bahamas." Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas is reducing stops to Bermuda to only 26 in  2013.

"The Explorer of the Seas will continue to make some stops in Bermuda, but the total between the two boats will be 41 trips in 2013, representing a reduction by 14 compared to 2012."

Royal Caribbean added: "Bermuda is a spectacular destination and very popular with our passengers. Though we would have liked to visit more often, the difference in the number of scales is largely due to a change in the patterns of itineraries from Baltimore, which limits the ability to make stops in Bermuda. "
