Small Fire on Crown Princess

Incident happened when the ship was sailing 3 nautical miles east of island of Antipaxos in Ioanian sea.

Small fire break out in one of the guest cabins onboard Crown Princess. Incident happened when the ship was sailing 3 nautical miles east of island of Antipaxos in Ioanian sea. The fire started due to wrong use of electrical outlets from one guest in cabin on deck 8.
Shortly after the fire was extinguished by the ships sprinkler system, minimum damage was reported in two cabins.

Affected cabins are currently without electricity and guests staying there have been moved to other cabins. Port authorities in Katakolo inspected the ship and was cleared to continue its voyage.
The Crown Princess is currently on a Mediterranean cruise that is scheduled to end in Rome on July 23.

Princes Cruises statement says that no crew or passengers where injured in the incident.
