My name is Vlad and I want to tell you my story as part of Steiner team on cruise ship. which changed my world up side down in a positive way. Even though I was successful in my business running my own gym and Chinese restaurant back in Romania, it was not enough for me. Having the same routine day by day, I wanted to change something. So there I was sitting in my own gym and clicking page by page I saw a commercial saying: 'Are you personal trainer? Do you want to travel and make money at the same time? Apply your CV now at Steiner! ' And what happened next is the begging of my story.
So there I was in Steiner academy. Training was intense and it was not just about the fitness, nutrition, detox and health but also how to be confident in yourself, be right sales and business person and most important being a man. So past trough weeks after gaining all the knowledge I was ready for join one of their luxury cruise lines Steiner offered me.
My journey started in Italy and I was lucky enough to have my first ship experience by crossing from Europe to Caribbean for 7 days. Trough two contracts I have done I have seen Asia, Europa, South America, North America, Alaska, Hawaii, French Polynesia and many others. So only Antarctica, Africa, Australia, New Zealand left on my list.
My onboard duties involved providing one-on-one training for clients seeking individualized training, conducting educational seminars, providing variety fitness classes, providing right nutrition and detoxification programs, promoting the SPA services and products, reception duties and daily SPA and fitness center duties.
Working at sea will change you and to enjoy working onboard you have to love only two things: travel and your profession. It is a life changing experience because you do what you like and you earn good money at the same time. I love the challenges of working onboard and waking up in a different place every morning.
So far I have done two contracts developing a lot of knowledge about health and beauty. Now I have grown both emotionally and professionally enough to do my management training which is scheduled on 24th of March, 2015. I want to say big 'thank you' to Steiner for the amazing experience I had and knowledge I gained in last 2 years. Also looking forward many more years ahead of my journey as a future manager.
