Costa Fascinosa passengers feared the worst, when suddenly they found themselves in the midst of a violent storm with rough seas and high waves. Luckily in the end there was no tragedy, but in the eyes of those people who had decided to board on Costa Fascinosa to spend a holiday, the nightmare of those moments in panic will remain for a long time . 

The flagship of Costa Cruises was on the route Venice - Bari when it found itself  in  the center of a storm at sea. The high waves and strong winds have brought serious difficulties for the crew and the vessel that has begun to dangle dangerously from the impact of the huge waves and violent gusts of wind. Among the passengers was widespread panic and the captain gave the order for all passengers to put on life jackets and said that he had “lost control of the ship”.

Costa released the following statement: “We are very sorry for what happened and any inconvenience this caused. We confirm that the evening of 22 September, the Costa Fascinosa met with winds over 90 knots that have influenced the course and met with the inclination of the hull .  The commander of the ship immediately activated the procedures necessary to re-establish a regular and normal navigation, and then proceeded to warn and assist passengers. Costa has taken the route planned in the program.”
