A 47 year old Indonesian crew member died onboard Costa Serena while the ship was sailing in Argentinian waters, along the route between Buenos Aires and Angra Dos Ries. This tragic accident happened on January 17 while the crew member ,Sahid Bin  Fauzi, was working on the fans on the ventilation system. The Indonesian crew member was reported missing by his colleagues and the ship was searched by all crew members. The Report says that ships chief engineer found crew member’s lifeless body in the conduct vertical ventilation system.

Once he was found there was nothing else to do but to declare him dead due to numerous injuries from the falling.

The incident occurred at around 9 am, Argentinian time, last Thursday and immediately the papers were sent to the Prosecutor of the Costa Serena in Genova, being recorded right in the capital of Liguria.
