Cruise Lines Incorporate Chef’s Table

The cruise line industry is famous for its international buffets where you can dine whatever you want and how much you want. Now, the cruise lines are starting to incorporate chef’s tables which will suggest importance and exclusivity. Some of the cruise lines are considering placing a chef’s table in the galley where the whole operation takes place in order for the passengers to get a special perspective of the dinning operations of one ship.

Here, the chef will entertain 8-24 passengers by explaining in detail each course throughout the dining experience. The estimated fees are expected to be in the range of $10-1000 or even more per person. In this fee will be included the experience, the chef’s attention, as well as the staff, special menu prepared from the chef, and other surprises. Different cruise lines have different fees and on most you do not have to be a VIP guest in order to reserve yourself a seat on the chef’s table. If you are interested, you should ask the pursers desk if there is a chef’s table, what is the specific fee, and if reservation is required.
