Fun, Fun, and More Fun on a Carnival Fun Ship

The Carnival Destiny will receive a major makeover of a $155 million in order to transform it to be fit to the Carnival Sunshine class.

Just when you thought you have seen it all on the high seas, Carnival has proved it that they can take it to the next level. The Carnival Destiny will receive a major makeover of a $155 million in order to transform it to be fit to the Carnival Sunshine class. The transformation will take only 49 days. The ship will be fully remodeled with a new bar, full-service Asian restaurant, and a water park with the longest water slide in the entire fleet.

The new Water Works will not be fit just for the youngest passengers, but for the child in all of us, to include the big kids. This water park will include five slides, 40 interactive features, as well as racing-themed slide called the Speedway Splash, the 300-gallon drenching bucket which will be a highlight of the SplashZone kids’ water play area, the 334-foot-long Twister slide, as well as the tropical paradise called the Havana Bar, and other amenities.

But wait, Carnival is not done surprising its vacationers. In celebration of the ship’s makeover, Carnival will be hosting a contest called “Bring Home Some Sunshine and Win,” which means that the winner will pick a spot in their home or office and Carnival will transform it into something fun that the winning vacationer can enjoy. If you are interested in this contest, just enter your before and after photos to www.facebook.com/carnival and Carnival will select five finalist out of which people will vote on the winner. And just when you thought what else Carnival can do, they managed to include another surprise. The winner of the contest will also enjoy a free trip on the new Carnival Sunshine. The Carnival Sunshine will set sail on a 16-day trans-Atlantic voyage from Barcelona to New Orleans from November 1-17, after which will follow a seven day Caribbean cruise.
