The Love Boat last voyage

It is a piece of TV history  that literally disappears. The cruise ship used in the TV series The Love Boat began his final journey, heading for a turkish yard to be dismantled. The Pacific Princess, built 42 years ago, has been the stage of the series aired in the U.S. between 1977 and 1987.

The ship was docked at the port of Genoa for a few years and was purchased by the Turkish Izmir ship recycling for 2.5 million euro. The trip to Aliaga, Turkey, was problematic: the Pacific Princess, which is small compared to most modern cruise ships (port 600 passengers instead of two thousand), ran into a storm, water boarded and needed of 'help of tugs to reach the port. And all without the Captain Stubing.
