The Company’s 2017-2026 business plan is set for the arrival of 12 new ships divided into three different classes, Meraviglia, Seaside and World.

Missing Crew Member in Rio Found Alive and Well

Antonio Triano Perez, 36-year-old Spanish crew member working as an animator on the cruise ship MSC Poesia was reported missing in Rio de Janeiro. The cruise ship docked on February 12, for the Rio Carnival and stayed overnight when Antonio disembarked alone and took a cab. When he didn’t come back to the ship his friend reported the missing person to the ship’s authorities and took to the social media to find him.

Is Sambal Forbidden on MSC Cruise Ships?

I have received a message from MSC Cruises crew member saying that the onboard security officers are confiscating the sauce SAMBAL from the Indonesian crew. Allegedly the sign-on crew which has brought sambal from back home are not allowed to bring it on the ship and security takes the sauce. Now you will say it’s not a big deal and why bother to write about it. Well, that’s not all.

With maximum sustained winds of 185 mph (295 kph), recorded by the U.S. National Hurricane Center, the Category 5 Hurricane Irma is feared to be the most catastrophic storm ever. On Wednesday the storm will hit Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Haiti on Friday, and Cuba on Saturday before possibly reaching Florida over the weekend.

Cruise Ship Captain Gets Speeding Ticket in the Bay of Kotor

The Port State Control Authorities in Kotor, Montenegro issued a fine for the cruise ship MSC Musica and its Captain for ignoring the speed limit in the Bay of Kotor. This is not the first time this vessel has ignored the maximum speed limit say the port authorities. According to them this season the same ship has received five warnings for speeding.

Body Found On a Beach in Italy May Be the Missing MSC Crew Member

A body believed to be the missing Brazilian crew member Simone Scheuer Sousa was found on a beach near Udine, Italy by the Port Captaincy. Italian media reports that the body was found on Sunday, July 2, and was in advanced stage of decomposition. According to investigation sources, the person had the same clothes Simone wore the night she disappeared. Now authorities are waiting for the DNA tests for final identification of the person.
