For the following winter season Norwegian Cruise lines has canceled their arrivals in Egyptian ports Alexandria and Port Said. Instead NCL Jade Eastern Mediterranean  itinerary in November will include Istanbul, Naples or Crete.

Last winter 2011/2012 season, NCL Jade also canceled Egyptian ports and sailed to Canary Islands instead.

Norwegian Cruise Line is following the example of other cruise lines who canceled their stops in Tunisia and Egypt because of the violent riots in the North African countries, including AIDA, TUI Cruises, Cunard Line, Celebrity Cruises, Holland America Line and Royal Caribbean International.

Norwegian Cruise Line scheduled Norwegian Jade to set sail on 10 and 11 nights Eastern Mediterranean cruises from Civitavecchia to Turkey, Israel, Cyprus and Egypt or Greece.
According to the new schedule Alexandria is replaced with Istanbul and Naples in the 10 nights cruise, while the 11-night itinerary will visit Crete and Naples instead of Port Said and Alexandria.
