Carnival Rolling Out New Patriotic Ship Crest

Carnival Cruise Line is giving its fleet a fresh patriotic makeover as the company rolls out a brand-new bow design across its U.S.-based ships, starting with the recently refurbished Carnival Legend.

The ship emerged from dry dock featuring Carnival’s new “From Sea to Shining Sea” bow crest, a colorful design inspired by the landscapes and coastlines connected to the cruise line’s operations across the United States. According to Carnival, the new artwork is meant to strengthen the company’s identity as “America’s Cruise Line.”

The redesign will gradually appear on nearly all of Carnival’s U.S.-based ships during scheduled dry docks and on future newbuilds. Two exceptions will be Carnival Jubilee and the future Carnival Tropicale, which instead feature or will feature the Texas star on their bows.

The next vessel scheduled to receive the updated look is Carnival Magic, which is expected to return to PortMiami from dry dock on May 26 with the new crest displayed prominently at the front of the ship.

Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy said the design reflects the company’s strong connection to U.S. travelers and ports across the country.

“With the debut of this new crest, we’re reinforcing what guests have long known: Carnival is proud to be America’s Cruise Line,” Duffy said in a statement. “We sail coast to coast and connect with millions of guests every year, and this crest reflects the reach of our brand across the U.S. – from the communities we visit to the memories we help create at sea.”

The timing of the rollout also aligns with preparations for America250, the nationwide celebration marking the United States’ 250th anniversary in 2026. Between June 4 and July 4 next year, Carnival plans to host patriotic-themed activities across the fleet, including trivia games, arts and crafts events, and special ship meetups timed with Independence Day fireworks celebrations on both the East and West Coasts.
