Two new players in Cruise industry start their services in 2012.
FTI Cruises will operate the cruise ship Berlin which is built in 1980. Currently, FTI is selling cruises for other companies through its subsidiary BigXtra, but now will enter the market with its own product – the cruise ship FTI Berlin. Within the next two to three years, FTI Cruises intends to establish the FTI Berlin as a very good, affordable, four-star product. The cruise ship will be serving the German market starting May 12, 2012 and will operate mainly in Mediterranean.

Harmony Cruise has started working with the 760 passenger Club Harmony ship, ex-Costa Marina. The line is operated under Seoul-based Polaris Shipping. Homeport of the ship is in Busan, South Korea and is offering three and four night cruises, with calls in Nagasaki, Fukuoka, Kagoshima, Jeju, Osaka, Nagasaki, Beppu and Incheon.
Club Harmony is targeted to ordinary people and families, including children, who enjoy their normal holidays and weekends. The cruises will by primarily offered to the people from Korea, China, Japan and the Russian Far East to start, but the company plans to extend the market toward Europe and USA. The ultimate goal is to become a successful regional and global player.
