Odyssey od the Seas Crew Who Disembarked in Spain Now Test Negative for Covid-19

The latest test results of the 4 Royal Caribbean crew members who tested positive for Covid-19 last week onboard Odyssey of the Seas are now all negative. The great news for the crew and for their fellow shipmates was announced by Royal Caribbean International President and CEO Michael Bayley.

Mr. Bayley is very active on social media, sharing the company’s latest updates on a daily basis with main focus on the crew and the vaccination progress.

“The 4 Odyssey crew who tested positive for Covid and where landed in Spain last week. Received notice from Captain Sindre that they continue to remain asymptomatic (no symptoms) and yesterday all tested negative and will need one more test before being released on Friday. Plans are to re assign the crew to Harmony and Symphony of the Seas. As our protocols work and all our crew get vaccinated we are on the road to Freedom.” Mr. Bayley said. 

Last week 4 crew members who have tested positive for Covid-19 on Odyssey of the Seas disembarked the ship at Mallorca's Port of Palma. After several news outlets reported about the news Mr. Bayley shared an update on the current situation on social media in order to prevent spreading rumours.

“Odyssey of the Seas is on the way to Florida (no guests) after completing crew changes to ensure all USA seafarer visas are in order. As part of our ongoing COVID testing protocols we had 4 positive tests out of 1,400 crew. Those crew were landed in Spain for a second test and observation by local health authorities. Shows how vigilant we have to be !” Mr. Bayley said.
