This month 40 Royal Caribbean Group employees from all three brands, both shipboard and shoreside, participated in an intensive training to achieve certification through the National Organization of Victim Advocates (NOVA). This initiative is a part of RCG larger effort to deliver comprehensive victim and survivor support training throughout the fleet.
The training was tailored to the company roles and focused on critical areas such as trauma-informed response to domestic violence, sexual assault, and suicide prevention. The relevance and effectiveness of the training content were acknowledged and greatly appreciated by representatives from all departments.
The numerous insights gained, and skills acquired from this experience will enhance company’s ability to provide empathetic, informed, and effective support to victims and survivors. Furthermore, the shared experience of this training has strengthened interdepartmental collaboration efforts and unified in commitment to fostering a safer, more responsive environment.
