Royal Caribbean increases quarterly dividends by 20%

The South Florida Business Journal reports that Royal Caribbean Cruises increased its quarterly dividends to shareholders by 20 percent on Wednesday.

The Miami-based cruise company (NYSE: RCL) announced that on October 9 it would pay out 12 cents per share to shareholders on record by Sept. 25.
After dropping from their highest at 15 cents per share, dvidends from the cruise line sat at 10 cents since 2008.
The company’s shares closed at $29.61 Wednesday, falling 18 cents.
Royal Caribbean’s Enchantment of the Seas, which is replacing the departing Monarch of the Seas, will undergo a revitalization in December and debuts at its home port of Port Canaveral in 2013.
