Incident that occurred on March 16 at Ha Long Bay involving Luxury Vessel Silversea Shadow and Vietnamese container ship is on the whey. The conditions in this area at the time of the incident where foggy and Shadows foghorn was constantly on to warn other vessels of its presence. At about 5 miles from the shore container vessel was heading towards the cruise ship when collision happened.

Shortly after the incident guests where assembled at their muster stations. After inspecting the situation and condition of the Vessel, Captain made announcement that there was no danger.
The crew was calm and organized but the passengers where scared and in panic.
Silver Shadow was on its scheduled nine days itinerary from Singapore to Hong Kong when in Ha Long Bay collided with smaller commercial vessel.

According to officials Shadow sustained only minor damage and is fully operational.
Ships itinerary will continue as scheduled and it will not have impact of the upcoming itineraries.
