Tango Cruise on Royal Caribbean Legend of the Seas
In its catalog for 2013 Royal Caribbean International added a "Tango Cruise" departing from Civitavecchia on 1 June 2013 onboard Legend of the Seas.

This is an unprecedented initiative for the company, in collaboration with the prestigious Genova Tango Festival - the most important event in Italy dedicated to this dance - which for 2013 will hold its 14th edition on board a cruise ship. This was announced at the press conference held aboard Celebrity Silhouette, docked in the port of Genoa, in the presence of Mario Parsquero director of World's Leading RCL Cruises LTD Italy, Pauline Antognetti, president and artistic director of Genova Tango Festival and Eleonora Lamonarca, representing the PUPI Foundation.

Royal Caribbean will donate part of the proceeds of the Tango Cruise. In addition to all the attractions of the ship Legend of the Seas, guests of the Tango cruise will follow every day group lessons - organized according to the level - together with the masters of the most prestigious Italian schools, all high profile artists and experts in ' advanced teaching of tango: Silvia Colli & Fernando Serrano of the "Tango Joy" in Rome, Gianluca Berti & Federica Bolengo Academy of Tango Argentino "Milongueando" in Biella and Milan and Pauline Antognetti of "Genova Tango".

For all guests who wish, private lessons will be availibile, for learning new steps or improve the style with a high level professionals. The last night of the cruise will be organized tango show in the theater, with live performances carried out by the hosts. But the link with Argentina does not end here: part of the proceeds of the sales will go to support the Foundation PUPI, non-profit organization that takes care of children more socially disadvantaged and disabled the suburbs of Buenos Aires. This project was developed in 2002 by Javier Zanetti and his wife Paula and over the years has developed several activities in education and sport for children in difficulty and that Royal Caribbean has decided to support.
