Bacardi has announced the three crew members, finalists for the 2016 annual Competition for Bartender of the Year by Bacardi Legacy in the Cruise Line category.
In its 12-year history the Bacardi cruise competition has attracted thousands of crew members working as a bar professionals in the cruise and ferry industry.
The competition is part of the Bacardi global strategy for improving standards of professionalism with cruise and ferry lines to raise the on-board bar experience,
All bartends were required to incorporate Bacardi Gold rum or Bacardi Superior rum in a unique and original recipe aspiring to become next Bacardi Legacy cocktail.
The three finalists representing Cruise and Ferry Lines with their cocktails are:
Carnival Cruise Lines, Miroslav Kljajic with his cocktail Blueberry Elixir Fizz (blueberries, Bacardi Superior, St-Germain elderflower liqueur, Monin Vanilla syrup, fresh lime juice, Prosecco)
Holland America Line, Bailon Pasamba with his cocktail: Tropical Fruits & Herb Tini (fresh Oregano Leaf, calamansi juice, Bacardi Superior, Elderflower Liquor, Mango syrup, guava juice)
Tallink Group, Andres Poljakov with his cocktail: Golden Emerald (Bacardi Gold/Oro, Matcha Tea powder, hot water, Monin Green Apple syrup, Monin Cucumber syrup, fresh lemon)
The three bartenders will be coached by the Bacardi Brand Ambassador, Ryan MacBean, in improving their recipes and each will be awarded a $3000 budget for creating promotional campaign and US $1000 cash prize for entering the finals.
Bacardi Legacy Competition Cruise Finals will be held in Miami starting on February 22 to February 26 2016.
The winner of this competition will receive $4000 prize and is ill compete in the final Bacardi Legacy Global Cocktail Competition, in San Francisco (April 20-25 2016) competing with professional bartenders from around the world for the ultimate title.
