Walmart announced closure of 269 stores, 154 in the US, and the rest 115 stores will be closed in Latin America, mostly in Brazil.
The news comes just three months after CEO Doug McMillon told investors that the world’s largest retail chain will review its stores with the goal of becoming more competitive in the environment of increased competition from all sectors, including from Amazon.com their online rival.
