24-Year-Old Woman Jumps Off Norwegian Pearl Cruise Ship

US Coast Guard is searching for a 24-year-old woman who went overboard last night off Norwegian Pearl cruise ship. The incident happened while the ship was sailing on a 4 day cruise chartered by electronic music festival "Mad Decent Boat Party." The woman is identified by US Coast Guard as Kaylyn Rose Sommer from South Carolina. 

Daily Mail says that the incident happened when Kaylyn and some other girl were having a twerk-off dance when there was a dispute between her and her boyfriend. Moments after Kaylyn jumped off Norwegian Pearl. NCL released statement saying "A female guest was observed intentionally going overboard while the ship was sailing in the Yucatan Channel,"

The cruise ship halted its party voyage and turned back to the port of Miami.  Event organizers released a statement saying "We are deeply saddened by the news that one of our guests on our current cruise went overboard on November 12. The Coast Guard is now leading all search and rescue efforts and the ship is en route back to Miami. The safety and security of our guests and the ship's crew is our number one priority, all appropriate safety precautions will continue to be taken for this and all of our events. Our hearts go out to the family and all involved in this incident, and we will continue to support those affected during this difficult time."
