AIDA Cruises is continuing its longstanding commitment as a main sponsor of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival until 2024. With the signing of the new agreement, the Rostock cruise line and the regional classic festival are building on the partnership that has existed for more than 20 years and at the same time are announcing the highlight of the next joint season.
“Just like the Mecklenburg-West Pomeranian Festival, AIDA Cruises is firmly rooted in our beautiful federal state. Together we are committed to a diverse cultural offering in our homeland and look forward to inspiring numerous music lovers and classical music fans with great concerts in the next three years,” says Felix Eichhorn, President of AIDA Cruises.
Ursula Haselböck, Artistic Director of the Mecklenburg-West Pomerania Festival, very much welcomes the further cooperation and emphasizes: "The Mecklenburg-West Pomerania Festival is overjoyed to be able to continue working with its long-standing partner and main sponsor AIDA Cruises in the future. The past few years have proven that AIDA Cruises is not only one of the most important employers in the state of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania but also supports culture as a reliable partner of the Mecklenburg-West Pomerania Festival. The partnership is characterized by collaborative work at eye level and the idea of inspiring people with and for music. On behalf of the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, I would like to thank you for your incredible commitment and I look forward to another three years of good cooperation!"
In the 2022 festival summer, AIDA is taking on the patronage of one of the highlights of this year's season: Beethoven's Triple Concerto on August 20 with prizewinner Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, cellist Harriet Krijgh and Kit Armstrong on the piano. The State Stud in Redefin serves as an unusual venue for this concert, giving the event a very special setting for young and old with a picnic in the park, pony rides, and a horse show.
