Ambassador Cruise Line is set to join other major cruise lines in introducing cutting-edge internet connectivity. Starlink, the advanced satellite system by SpaceX, will be available across Ambassador's two-ship fleet by early December.
The Ambience is scheduled to be the first ship to undergo Starlink installation in November, while Ambition's upgrade to broadband internet is expected to be completed by early December. The decision to implement Starlink connectivity across the entire Ambassador fleet comes on the heels of a successful trial aboard Ambition in September. During this trial period, Wi-Fi connectivity satisfaction, as reflected in the Customer Satisfaction Questionnaire (CSQ) results, witnessed an impressive 35% improvement, underscoring the positive impact this technology will have on guest satisfaction.
Christian Verhounig, Chief Executive Officer of Ambassador Cruise Line, expressed enthusiasm about this milestone, stating:
"This enhancement to internet connectivity across the fleet is yet another step in our mission to create an unforgettable cruising experience with Ambassador. Reliable internet access is essential, and we are thrilled to introduce an enhanced Wi-Fi service on board Ambience and Ambition. Offering unparalleled connectivity, whether in port or at sea, will empower our guests and crew to effortlessly connect with their loved ones and the world around them. This ensures they can capture and share precious moments while staying informed and entertained during their sailing.”
The deployment of Starlink will offer Ambassador Cruise Line guests an unprecedented level of connectivity, enabling them to stay connected with the world wherever their voyage takes them. This innovative technology will be accessible not only in public spaces but also in cabins, ensuring that passengers can enjoy the convenience and reliability of the internet from every corner of the ship.
