The Ambition Ambassador Cruise Line second ship to enter service for the UK cruise company has arrived at the Lloyd Werft shipyard in Bremerhaven, Germany. The former Aida Cruises ship was acquired at the beginning of 2022 and was serving as a hotel accommodation for Ukrainian refugees at King George V dock in Glasgow, Scotland since September 14, 2022.   

As announced by Ambassador, the Ambition will get new livery, Ambassador branding, venue improvements, and furnishing upgrades. The ship will also get her environmental upgrades making her IMO Tier III compliant and in the top 10-15% of environmentally sustainable ships worldwide. 

After completing the dry dock the ship will be christened by her godmother Shirley Robertson OBE at an official ceremony in Newcastle on 11 May 2023 ahead of her inaugural 14-night maiden voyage departing Newcastle on 12 May, on the Hidden Gems of France and Spain sailing.
