Azamara is eliminating its boarding testing requirement for COVID-19, effective July 25, 2025, except in ports where it is still mandatory. The line will still require proof of vaccination prior to boarding. Guests over the age of 12 must still be fully vaccinated at least 14 days before sailing.
"The easing of our testing policy marks a step in the right direction toward a return to normalcy for the travel and cruise industry," said Azamara President Carol Cabezas.
"Cruising is one of the safest ways to travel and our existing onboard health and safety protocols will ensure peace of mind for our guests and crew as we move forward."
While pre-boarding testing will no longer be required, Azamara said she recommends that guests do it "at their leisure before travel to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable travel experience."
Azamara's crew must be fully vaccinated and COVID-19 testing will continue to be available to guests on board as needed.
"Azamara maintains a strong commitment to wellness through its Explore the Well at Sea program, keeping guest safety a top priority," the line said.
